Sirena del Sol
To be updated (no bold headings!): The house name is already above, so we don’t repeat it here.
Sunny Siren is a tiny waterfront beach shack built in 1966, tucked quietly along Fisheries Bay in Freycinet National Park. When we first found it, the place had barely been touched since the day it was built. Overgrown, weathered and dark, but still holding the bones of its original architect-designed form.
We couldn’t let this one go.
Rather than replacing it with something new, we chose to carefully restore the shack and protect what made it special in the first place.
These original beach houses have a warmth and personality that’s hard to recreate today.
Due to Tasmanian planning rules, the shack can’t be rented, but we’ve kept Sunny Siren as part of the Logan Brae Collection to hopefully inspire others to save these original beach shacks, too and give them the value they deserve.
