We transform overlooked or under-loved spaces into design-led stays with a distinct point of view.
We’re obsessed with atmosphere, texture, lighting, and warmth. Spaces that feel good the second you walk in. Somewhere you want to hang around all day, cook, swim, read, nap, light the fire, whatever the vibe is, without feeling like you need to leave to enjoy it.
We also share the process.
The stays, the design, the little finds, the mess, the finished result — it’s all part of the story. And we hope it leads to more interesting, more thoughtful stays across the industry.
It all started at Logan Brae Orchard.
Over the last ten years, I’ve gone from professional photographer to full-time accommodation creator and renovation addict. Photography taught me how to create feeling from scratch—set the scene, style, light, and mood.
Living on Logan Brae Orchard with my hot farmer husband and our first baby, I started to see the under-utilised Machinery Shed in a new light.
It sits in the prime position in the orchard. This grand old structure with huge timber beams collected from the railway lines back in the 1930s. So much history. But it wasn’t looked after, it wasn’t usable, and it was basically just full of junk.

2016 -2017: Work begins on The Machinery Shed
The dream began. It took a year just to clean it out. Daily trips with the scrap metal guy until he pretty much told me to lose his number. There were roadblocks constantly, but that’s what I do: I pivot, and I always find a way around things.

2018: The Machinery Shed welcomes first guests
Within a year we were at 100% occupancy rate. I couldn’t believe it. No one could.

2020: Airbnb top 3!
Airbnb called and told me we were among the top three most-wished-for Airbnbs in Australia. My mind was blown. It still feels like the craziest sentence.

2021: Yellowstone-inspired cowboy dreams
We couldn’t resist the giant pine trees and Yosemite-meets-Big-Sur energy at Mt Kanimbla. The cabins and lodge had the bones — we brought the atmosphere, good vibes and style.

Late 2021: Mt Kanimbla Cabins open
Within three months, The Hilltop Cabin and The Woodlands Cabin were fully booked, with guests reserving dates before the renovations were even complete.

2022: The Mt Kanimbla Lodge Opens
The last building to finish at Kanimbla was the main four bedroom Lodge. It took another year because of the size, and the exterior painting felt like it went on forever. Getting it done meant the whole property was finally complete.

2023: Our Tassie love project
Sunny Siren 1966 is a mid-century beach shack brought back to life. With deep family roots it’s a place to reconnect with our Tassie people.

2025: Sold Mt Kanimbla Retreats
I loved what we built there. But to move forward, the decision to sell had to be made.

Why We Do It
Honestly, I couldn’t do anything else. I’m addicted to fast-paced projects, solving problems, and working with a great team. We love a good reno. The chaos, the pivots, the “this is absolutely not going to plan” stage — that’s my comfort zone, weirdly.
I also care a lot about how a stay feels. I want people to walk in and instantly clock that it’s been thought about. Not just “here’s a couch, good luck.” More like, “Yep. Someone had a vision here.” That comes from the setup, the design, the atmosphere. I’m happiest when I take the ‘before’ and turn it into something with personality.
And I love sharing the process because I’m obsessed with it — what we buy, what works, what doesn’t. Plus, we travel a lot, and I can’t help myself; I’m always mentally renovating other people’s stays. This is my way of putting more good-vibe accommodation into the world, one project at a time.
