Sirena del Sol
Bold colours, handmade details and plenty of personality.
A Playful 1970s Beach House Reimagined in Hyams Beach
It had been sitting on the market for years and I kept finding myself coming back to it.
The price felt too high and the renovation... well, there was paint on everything. Even the kitchen bench.
Underneath was original carpet, bathrooms needing complete replacement and plenty of rough and ready moments that most people saw immediately.
But I couldn't stop thinking about the exterior.
The garden already had this relaxed Mediterranean feel with pebbles, plants and little pockets that felt like an oasis. That completely set the tone for everything that followed.
I wanted this project to feel bold and fun because we're at the beach.
So we went all in.
Handmade Moroccan tiles. Marble from LA. Crazy paver splashbacks. Stripes. Bold colours. Plenty of decisions that probably only made sense inside my brain.
This is the result.
